Doctor visits

Hi and welcome back to another blog! the topic today is my surgery and doctor visits. To begin, as you may or may not know, I have bicuspid aortic stenosis and had surgery when I was two and a half. The surgeon told my parents that I will have to have another surgery in six to eight years but it has been sixteen as of June 2019. I have gone to a cardiologist my whole life and those appointments do not get any easier as I grow older. I have found an amazing camp called Camp Del Corazon and have met some of the most amazing people that help me through my doctor visits and the anxiety and nervousness I get when I go to the cardiologist. On top of the cardiologist I also see an Endocrinologist. I see the endocrinologist for hormone replacement. When I was younger I was on Growth Hormone injections and was on them till I was about 9 years old. Currently I am on estrogen and have been for three years and it has been a slow process. But looking forward I am excited to continue hormone therapy and to become a counselor at Camp del Corazon.
